The Payyanur Co-operative Rural Bank Ltd. was incorporated in 1956. The bank started its operation with 2374 members with an investment of Rs.755 and a capital of Rs.23000. Now The Payyanur Co-operative Bank Ltd. has 14 branches with more than 16000 "A" class members, 110000 "B" class members and 7000 "D" class members., a Neethi Medical Store and an Electrical and plumbing shop. Now the investment has been reached more than 107 crores.
In addition, a Neethi Medical Store has been started under the control of Payyanur Co-operative Bank for providing medicines among the people in the rural area. An Electrical and Plumping shop is also running under the Payyanur Co-operative Bank. In the year 2006-07 a discount of Rs.17.34 and in 2007-08 a discount of Rs.19.22 has been given to the people through our Neethi Medical Store.
From the incorporation onwards the Payyanur Rural Co-operative Bank is running in a high gainful stage.
